MAINTENANCE FOUND NO ABNORMAL PROBLEMS ON THE FIRST FEW RUN UPS, BUT UPON FUTURE INSPECTION THEY DID FIND AN OIL LEAK APPEARING TO COME FROM THE TURBO CHARGER. HOWEVER, IT IS NOT CONFIRMED THAT THE TURBO CHARGER IS THE ISSUE. AT THIS TIME WE DO NOT KNOW THE CAUSE OF THIS ENGINE FAILURE.

What buyers get caught by

The expensive surprises on any used airplane are missing logbooks, corrosion under paint, outstanding ADs, an engine near overhaul, and the same squawk written up again and again. The card lists where the Cessna 207 gets written up; the AD timetable below lists what the FAA requires.

Ask for the logbook entries that match each item. A repeated entry is a pattern, not a coincidence.
